Program

  • 1st day: Travel from Budapest, transfer to the hotel and check in.
  • 2nd day: A panorama tour int he mornind, with a stop at the St Paul’s Cathedral. Later we have a walk in the afternoon, which passes by the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Ministerial Palace, the lower House of Parliament, the Pantheon famous of its dome and the Navona square decorated by fountains.
  • 3rd day: In the morning optional visit to the Vatican Museum and the St Peter’s Basilica by local public transport. (due to technical reasons we need you to show your willing to take part in this program when requesting the travel). That walk is almost a „must” for those travelling to the Eternal City. Vatican, with its 1000 inhabitants is a city-state, whatmore a state in the state, which offers you countless sights on its 0,44 sq.km territory. You might admire the impressive building complex of St Peter’s square and the countless memories of St Peter Basilica, among which you can find II. John Paul’s tomb. Int he Vatican Museum you can find the Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo’s mural, and among other famous creations, the Laokoon skulpture. Int he afternoon we have an optional half-day program getting closer to Rome’s memories. You will be able to see the scene of famous gladiator fights from inside, the Colosseum that becamoe a symbol of Rome and you can take a look at Forum Romanum that still keeps the ruins of the ancient Rome downtown. Sitting on the hill of Palatinus, you can have an idea, what a luxurious life the rich Romans have lived, as it was a popular living place for several roman emperors such as Augustus or Septimus Severus. In the evening you can have an optional bus tour „Rome by night” where you can see the sights lighting.
  • 4th day: an optional half-day trip to Tivoli, 40kms from Rome, which was famous in the antiquity of its lime pits. Stones were transported from here to the construction of Colosseum as well. Tivoli’s most famous palacew was Villa d’ Este, int he park of which there are 500 different fountains. Ferenc Liszt, being the guest of the palace, has composed his symphonic poem „Fountains of Villa D’Este” at that place. Walk throught the representative halls and private suites of the palace, where the frescoes ont he walls tell a tale about the history of Este and Tivoli families. In the park you can also find Diana’s Cave, the Pavement of Hundred Fountains, and the towering waters of fountains the „Dragons”, the „Water Organ” and „Neptunus”.
    In version of 4days/3nights: ont hat day, transfer to the airport, travel back to Budapest.
  • 5th day: Free program, transfer to the airport, travel back to Budapest.
