1. day: Heiligenkreuz, Mödling, Vienna Our couch tour starts at 06.30 from Southen Train Terminal from Budapest. Travelling via Tatabánya - Delhi - Hegyeshalom – Heiligenkreuz. Heiligenkreuz is a small village near Vienna, in the heart of a mountain called Vienna Woods. Here you will find the oldest and largest Cistercian monastery in Austria. The high-preserved medieval building is one of the most valuable Gothic monuments in the Central Europe. The guided tour will show us the different halls of the monastery, and we can learn a lot of interesting things about the ascetic lifestyle centuries ago. Leaving Heiligenkreuz we have some free time for shopping in the Shopping City Süd Center (one of Europe’s largest shopping center). Who do not want to spend time with shopping, will be transported to a near town called Mödling, where you can have a nice walk with our guide through the old town. Leaving for Vienna, where you can explore the famous Christmas market. Accommodation near Vienna.
- 2. day: Schönbrunn, Vienna We visit first the world-famous Schonnbrunn Palace located in the suburb of Vienna. We can adore the magnificent interior rooms, while watching a lot of Hungarian-related memories. Panoramic sightseeing in Vienna, then walking tour in the centre. Then you will have some free time for leisure, optional visit the world famous Hofburg Treasury, the Imperial suites or perhaps another museum in the Austrian capital. Finally we can stroll through the Mariahilfer Strasse or the area of the Christmas market. Leave for home in the late afternoon via Hegyeshalom - Delhi – Tatabánya. Arrival home late in the evening to Budapest, and then to Székesfehérvár.
